It was 10 degrees Celcius yesterday in Chamonix, France, the gateway to Mont Blanc, arguably Europe’s most famous peak. But the cold weather didn’t stop me from enjoying some ice cream — my all-time favourite hazelnut (on top), plus a new flavour that I wanted to try out: créme bruleé.
No buts, no ifs, no regrets. Life’s too short; carpe diem (seize the day)!
P.S. I didn’t take chances with my health though — I was bundled up warmly in layers of clothes, I took 1,000mg of Vitamin C yesterday morning, and I had ginger tea for extra measure. So when a light snowfall greeted us at Mer de Glace in Montenvers, I could frolic in the snow without worry!
